What Makes a Hipster Hip

Low slung jeans and jelly beans
Boy chonies on girls, eyeliner on boys
Cheap little toys
Vests that aren't cool
Jellie shoes, kickin' it old school
Cloves and Red Bull
Dancing like a fool
Dollar sunglasses and trucker hats
Naps in the middle of the day
Word play, regional slang
Piercings and coffee
Poetry that stops the progression of time
Lines without rhymes
Good times
Sunshine through scarves hung over windows
Wind blown hair, butterfly chairs
Christmas lights and candles
Handlebar moustaches, false eyelashes
Rings in the nose, the septum, the chin
Barfly prose, Saturday night sin
Innocent fun, random puns
Camelback and knapsacks
The color black
Hair balm, spontaneous song
Free stuff and cartoons
Bubbles and eighties tunes
Customized ringtones, impromtu excursions
Social taboos and kinky perversions
Tattoes, big shoes, consignment shops
Public transport, stolen stop signs
Old beat up cars and safety pinned seams
But mostly, I think, it's the low-slung jeans
Current Mood: artistic
Current Music: Eve 6 - "Think Twice"

Wow. Good.

I guess I'm a hipster.
